Uzbekistan approved the list of countries with simplified visas

The Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan published an explanation on further measures to improve the procedure for entering the republic, it appeared on the website of the Ministry.
Since July 2018, Uzbekistan has established a simplified procedure of issuing visas for a number of countries. The list includes 101 countries as Australia, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Spain, the Dominican Republic and Liechtenstein, Malta and Monaco, the Czech Republic and Jamaica.
In addition, short-term visa-free entry to the republic for those who transit through international airports in Uzbekistan should not exceed five days, and stay of foreigners under 16 without a visa is 90 days.
Moreover, the Central Asian countries are working on the introduction of Silk visa, a Schengen model of Central Asian visa for tourists. Last week, the issue was raised one more time during the inter-parliamentary meeting of Uzbekistan with Kazakhstan.
