Uzbekistan and EU hold strategic talks to expand interregional cooperation
During a visit to Brussels, a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Special Representative of the President for Foreign Policy Abdulaziz Kamilov, held a meeting with Vivian Loonela, Cabinet Head of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

The meeting focused on the dynamics of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in recent years, as well as joint steps to develop and strengthen multifaceted ties between Central Asia and the European Union.
On behalf of the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, Vivian Loonela expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for initiating the first-ever official summit in the "Central Asia – European Union" format, scheduled to take place in Samarkand on April 3-4.
It was highlighted that the leadership of the EU and all 27 EU member states unanimously supported the organization of this historic summit. The event is expected to strengthen open political dialogue and mutually beneficial practical partnerships between the two regions in political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
