Uzbekistan’s national U-17 team claimed another confident victory, showcasing solid performance under the leadership of head coach Islom Ismoilov. Facing the United Arab Emirates, the Uzbek side triumphed with a 3–1 win, securing their place in the semifinals.
Asilbek Aliev was the standout player of the match, scoring twice, while Sayfiddin Sodiqov added a third goal from the penalty spot to seal the result.
Aliev found the net in the 14th and 36th minutes, putting Uzbekistan in control early on. Just before halftime, Sodiqov calmly converted a penalty to extend the lead to 3–0. In the 67th minute, UAE’s Buti scored from a free kick, pulling one back for his side, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback.
Uzbekistan will face the winner of the Indonesia vs. DPR Korea match — set to take place on April 14 — in the semifinals.
