Uzbekistan’s embassy in Israel issues evacuation instructions for its citizens in the country

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has released an official guideline outlining exit routes for Uzbek citizens who wish to leave Israel amid the current security situation.

According to the Embassy, citizens can exit the country independently through the following border crossings:

Border Crossings:

  1. Menachem Begin” / “Taba” – Located on the Israel–Egypt border (between Eilat, Israel and Taba, Egypt).
  2. Sheikh Hussein” – Located on the northern Israel–Jordan border (between Beit She’an, Israel and Irbid, Jordan).
  3. Yitzhak Rabin” / “Wadi Arava” – Located on the southern Israel–Jordan border (between Eilat, Israel and Aqaba, Jordan).

All these checkpoints are currently operating as normal and remain open 24/7.

Via Egypt:

Menachem Begin” / “Taba” Border Crossing (Eilat)

  • Uzbek citizens can enter Egypt visa-free through this checkpoint under the “Sinai Entry Stamp”, which allows a stay of up to 14 days only within the Sinai Peninsula (travel to Cairo or other cities is not permitted).
  • Citizens under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent.
  • From Taba, it is possible to travel by bus or car to Sharm El Sheikh (270 km).

Flights from Sharm El Sheikh Airport:

  • Uzbekistan Airways: 3 flights per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday at 12:35) to Tashkent.
  • Turkish Airlines: 1–2 daily flights to Istanbul International Airport (with onward transit to Tashkent).
  • Pegasus Airlines: 1–2 daily flights to Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul (with onward transit to Tashkent).

Via Jordan:

Sheikh Hussein” (Beit She’an) or “Yitzhak Rabin” / “Wadi Arava” (Eilat) checkpoints can be used to enter Jordan. From there, one can proceed to the capital, Amman, and take connecting flights along the following routes:

  • Amman – Istanbul – Tashkent
  • Amman – Dubai – Tashkent

Note: A visa is required to enter Jordan, which can be obtained via the Jordanian Ministry of Interior website:
