According to the president, more than 150,000 young people in Uzbekistan received international language certificates in 2024, marking a twofold increase compared to 2023. He noted that young people from Tashkent, Fergana, Namangan, Bukhara, and Samarkand were particularly successful in mastering foreign languages.

The president also highlighted regional improvements in university admission rates, pointing out that Surkhandarya region climbed from 11th to 4th place in just one year. He also praised the positive trends in Jizzakh and Syrdarya.

In the field of science, Uzbekistan’s youth achieved impressive results in international academic competitions. “Two years ago, 45 students from 7 regions won prizes in international science Olympiads. In the first half of this year alone, students from 10 regions – now including Jizzakh, Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Khorezm, and Tashkent – have won a total of 166 medals,” the president said.

Within the framework of the “One Million Coders” initiative, 325,000 young people have been trained in digital and IT skills. “Young people in Khorezm, Kashkadarya, and Samarkand have especially learned how to generate substantial income through IT,” President Mirziyoyev said.

He also celebrated a historic milestone in sports, noting that Uzbekistan’s national football team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in its history. “A major football celebration that we had long awaited recently took place across the country. The 34-year dream of our people has come true,” he said.

President Mirziyoyev stressed that peace is the greatest blessing, and in these increasingly turbulent and complex times, the values of human dignity and justice are more crucial than ever. “In a country where there are many highly educated, broad-minded, and technologically literate young people, peace, progress, and social cohesion will always be strong.”

“Our core mission and responsibility is to ensure quality education and upbringing, to teach youth modern professions and foreign languages, and to create all the necessary conditions for them to take a worthy place in life,” he stated.

Reflecting on the broader role of youth in shaping the nation's future, the president declared:

“While the First and Second Renaissances were brought to life by our great scholars and thinkers, today history passes the torch to you. I am confident that you are capable of raising our national flag in all fields. You are the golden generation that will build a New Uzbekistan and write its new history.”
