Per capita real incomes in Uzbekistan rose by 7.4% in the first six months of 2025, according to the latest analysis published by the National Statistics Committee.

Over the first half of the year, the country’s total population income amounted to UZS 515.9 trillion. Compared to the same period in 2024, the real growth rate of total income was 9.5%. For comparison, in the first half of 2024, incomes grew by 11.9% compared to the same period in 2023.

The slowdown in income growth was attributed to a stabilizing exchange rate and a decline in revenue from certain service sectors.

During the first half of 2025, average per capita income in Uzbekistan was UZS 13.7 million. In nominal terms, this represents a 17.7% increase, while the real growth rate stood at 7.4%.

As in previous years, Tashkent city maintained the highest per capita income level, reaching UZS 35.08 million. It was followed by Navoi (UZS 20.05 million), Bukhara (UZS 15.88 million), and Tashkent (UZS 13.74 million) regions – all exceeding the national average.

The lowest per capita income levels were recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (UZS 9.2 million) and Namangan region (UZS 9.46 million).

The highest real income growth was observed in Fergana region (15.5%) and Tashkent city (12.8%).

Most of the population’s income came from employment and self-employment, which accounted for 60.6% of total income.

According to the report, “6.6% of household income came from self-produced services for personal consumption, 3.4% from property, and 29.4% from transfers.”

In the income structure over the six-month period, wages from formal employment made up 28.2% of total population income and saw a 21.7% increase year-on-year.
