People propose to abolish payment for IMEI code registration

On the collective reference portal “My opinion”, a petition to simplify the registration of IMEI codes of mobile devices has been posted.
In the appeal, it is proposed to abolish payments for IMEI codes on mobile devices of individuals and legal entities, as well as simplify the registration process.
“In the current globalization process, I think it is important to support the population, to eliminate overpayments and aggravation,” the petitioner says.
Considering the above, people ask to cancel payments for IMEI code registration.
Earlier, the Ministry of ICT had clarified the most frequently asked questions about the IMEI code.
